With our first strange customer - the Scavenger. The kind of girl who keeps her favourite rock in her pocket and is determined to one day find the perfect pinecone. 

All glow effects are done with a UV printed finish.

This will also unlock these 2024 designs;

The pastel alt moth is rose gold plated. Wizard frog will always be a favourite of mine though.

Oh, and I keep forgetting. We do have an incentive for following the project pre launch! Its a snazzy sticker of this fellow;



Since he nearly won the poll for freebie. It will have some holo/transparency effects, and will be automatically added to your pledge if you signed up to follow the project before it went live :).

The poll for early bird freebie is neck and neck, so make sure you vote before it closes. You might just be the tie breaker at this rate.

That's it! Just under a week left so there may not be another big preview update. There are two more stretch goal tiers in the works; the Alchemist and the Rat Lady.

However, I bring to you, our initial goal tier;

The large pin for this tier is the Shopkeeper, who has a lot of screen printed details. He's wearing his best customer service face. His companion is Imp, who might be kind of familiar to some 👀.

Each goal is quite large, but unlocks a whole bunch of stuff. That's easier for me to manage and also allows us to have a variety of freebies this year.

The first couple of tiers are going to unlock some of last years designs into the main pool too, which means you can get them as part of the bundle deal choices if you want. This tier opens up;

These three plus a couple of mini pins.

One of our bundle extras this year is mystery bags, of different sizes. If you get a mystery bag, you'll be able to choose which collection of pins might be in it (or go for a truly random selection of everything). You can preview what's in each collection on the front page of the campaign, under 'Currently Unlocked'. Everything is gonna be laid out there, as clearly as possible. These are the ones that unlock for tier one;




Also also! We have some new stationery designs. They're also previewed on the front page. If you add 'sticker book' or 'notebook' to your pledge from the add-ons, you'll be able to choose which pattern you get at the survey stage. There may be more to come. We have both a6 and a5 sizes and a variety of notebook pages.

Early Bird mini pin poll results are in, and creepy plant inched it out by a smidge. A few of you wanted to see R̷̢̨̨͓̳̗̟̤̮̙̲̮̟̗̀̀̍̅́̒̆͜à̴͕̱̦̗͎̞̗̲́̀͊͊͌̍̉̓̓t̸͕̬̼͎̞͍̙̪̠̝̘̣̦̋̌̚ͅ though, and here they are;



They'll still be included, just in a higher tier, hopefully with a few buddies too. He has more effects as a fully paid pin :). The freebie version would have been simpler. 

As for the creepy plants, there are three options;

- Aristolochia Salvadorensis, or the Darth Vader flower
- The Cobra Lily
- A decorative Gourd

... Admittedly some are creepier than others. 
These are SUPER rough sketches, these designs are definitely not final. Finished mini pins will have two-three layers of screen print details, at around 1.5" in size. 

Make sure you vote to let me know which you prefer. Also I'd love to know if you have creepy plant suggestions, there will be more in the campaign itself.

Welcome to the Curiosity Shop (2nd Edition!). A gloriously weird collection of curios, oddities, potions, strange customers and more.

The Curiosity Shop is a place with many entrances, and doors that lead to many places. Its customers come from anywhere you can imagine, and they trade in everything interesting.

Each funding goal will unlock one strange customer, along with their items (be they buying or selling) and their companions. Previews should be upcoming through October until launch, so keep an eye out for updates. You can spy a few already up on our launch party page. We have a bit of something for everyone this year.

Don't miss out on Pintober this year - back at least three Pintober projects, and recieve a freebie from every Pintober project that you back. Ours is this glorious gelatinous gummy worm - 1.5" with gold plating, and printed details.

We are collaborating with Spooky Circuit this year, repeating our fabulous Pintopia partnership. Check them out, their designs are awesome. Back both projects to get a freebie from each! Ours will be this mini squirrel skull, with circuit detailing. About 1.5" in size, with gold plating and two layers of print for the shading. 

The potion label is our returning backer freebie. Around 1.25" with gold plating, free to anyone who's backed any of our other projects (including on Kickstarter). 

Our early bird freebie will be decided by poll, so make sure you take the time to vote! Right now 'creepy plant' is coming in first, which could be something like the cobra lily, or the aristolochia salvadorensis, or perhaps another carnivorous plant. 

Its what Halloween is about, after all.

Every pledge will receive a free (random) mini pin based on a classic British pick 'n' mix sweet. Shrimp and banana will be available from the first unlock tier of the campaign; a new design will unlock for every 50 backers we get. All the unlocked designs will be available to buy individually in the add-on store after the campaign is over. 

A new freebie I'm introducing for this campaign - but we're actually back-adding it all the way back to the Midnight Ocean campaign. 

The crow prize is a 1.5" feather mini pin, with gold metal plating and some print details.

There are two ways to get this freebie. I'll be sending one to everyone on our community leaderboard - Backerkit keeps a list of the top 10 people who engage with a project. You can earn points by voting on polls, leaving comments and even liking updates. But don't worry if you don't quite scooch into the top 10, I'll be keeping an eye out for everyone who takes the time to comment regularly. 

The other way is to comment (nicely T_T) correcting something I've gotten confused. I do keep extensive notes, but when I make updates I do sometimes get my wires crossed. I owe a few of these already! It just means that I can edit my update asap and stop things getting muddled. I'll leave a little 🪶under your comment if you catch me out :). 

Just a couple of notes to get out there.

We will be continuing to ship worldwide, although please be aware there may be changes to the usual shipping rates.

Our pricing structure is changing for this campaign. After a little over a year, we are re evaluating the size/cost brackets for our pins, to make it a little clearer. Pins are now sorted into four categories;
Mini ~ Up to and including 1.5"
Standard ~ 1.75"-2"
Large ~ 2.25" and up
Premium/Special Effect ~ Anything with a special finish, or a very complicated design. An extremely complicated silhouette can sometimes be as costly as a special finish.
Each design should be clearly labelled. 

This could turn out to be a complicated campaign; we are including a lot of last year's designs too. There will be a section on the front page near the bottom that lists absolutely everything that is currently unlocked for each category.

I had the launch date set wrong, ahaha. There's a little bit longer to wait, but more time for me to cook up pin designs 👌. 

We'll get started on some proper previews and freebie introductions soon, but here's a little sneak peek at some designs since I'm here;

I just need a few more days to put together a proper project introduction and I'll explain what we're doing this year :D. We have a lot of freebies and extra engagement give aways and all sorts, so stay tuned!
